Judging
The Keystone Leather Contest 2025 will be held over two-and-a-half days of competing. The Keystone Leather contest uses a straight scoring system. The scores will include a score from all 6 judges in each category. A winner and a first runner-up will be selected for each Leather title. The score for each category are compiled by our Two Tally Masters to determine the final score. The Contestants with the highest score in each title class wins. In the event of a tie, the tally of the most raffle tickets sold by a contestant in the title class will add 3 points to the final score awarding one individual the title. If there's still a tie the contestant with the highest score in speech category will be considered the winner. If a contestant is running unopposed, then the contestant must score at least 75% of the maximum total number of points to win the title. If the contestant fails to achieve 75%of the score, then that title will remain vacant for that title year.
Following the end of the contest, a contestants score can be provided to them. On the scoring sheets provided, judges will be identified by numbers that are randomized between categories. The names and identities of each judge and their score will NOT be provided to the contestants.
The following documentation will be provided to each contestant via email within 30 days of the contest:
